Hi Rrrandy, I slotted the bottom of the seat board, glued and nailed the leg pieces in. The original piece was a little longer and was cut to fit a joint in the barn. I cut that end off and sliced it with a chain saw. Just cut one half of it in half for the legs. Hit 3 nails in it and ruined a chain but it was worth it, my wife is happy!
