I have developed a true riving knife for right tilt Unisaws. Google (on this site) “Retrofit riving knife for Unisaws.” Don’t pay much attention to the photos, as they were taken during early stages of development.

I have seen Lee Styron’s ARK knife (not in the flesh, but in the Shark Guard videos), and it looks quite good. It hugs the blade quite closely, but does require manual adjustment when you change blade height. It tilts with the blade like a true riving knife. If I didn’t already have mine, I would buy one of Lee’s. I like it better than the BORK, as it looks more robust.

I am ready to start sending out my riving knives whenever I start getting orders. Initially, I will charge $150 for the whole thing, with one knife (thin kerf or full kerf). $15 extra if you want both knives. If you only want to get one, I’d go with the thin kerf, as it works just fine with full kerf blades.

I only made a small run of these—15. When they are gone, I doubt if I’ll make any more, as they are very labor intensive. Lots of little parts.

-- I admit to being an adrenaline junky; fortunately, I'm very easily frightened
