any experience with Barr tools?

Just got through looking at Curtis Buchanan's videos on his website of how he makes his chairs. I've not ever made a chair and the only time I've gotten anywhere close to that level of tools was meeting Roy Underhill in Atlanta 2 or 3 years ago and trying his pole lathe. But I am interested in doing a project from log to finished, if nothing else for the experience. I got a look at Barr tools on his website and it looks like he gears his tools to timberframes but he does have chair making tools. So just wanted to see what opinions were of his tools or if it was just as easy to sharpen up some old drawknives and go to work. I have a froe, no froe club, and most of the other basic stuff. But I was looking for a good quality drawknife. Then I found "Dave's Shaves" website also for spokeshaves. They look good as well.

Any thoughts?
