On the Olympic Peninsula of Washington. Known mostly for rain (although historically, if the Mariners played in an open stadium they’d have fewer rainouts than Chicago or New York), Dungeness crab, softwood timber and salmon. Part of the worlds largest temperate rain forest. Doug fir (not really a fir), western hemlock, western red cedar, sitka spruce, alder, big leaf maple, yew.
