I have an old Craftsman mower that I use to plow my 2 block long driveway and after 8 years of plowing the
transaxle quit working last winter. It was a Dana transaxle and with the older mowers, the owners manual
gave the parts breakdown, so $60 and three weeks later, two worn clutch keys were replaced and my snow
plow is ready for winter. Yes, I know an ATV would be a better snowplow, but I am a tightwad. On the
older items like my Craftsman shaper Sears was the only place a lot of people out in the sticks could buy
quality tools, but now the urge to compete for the lowest price tools and sales seems to have lowered the
quality bar in lot of the stores.
