Just as an FYI – Waterlox is, essentially, a tung oil that has been modified some.

I’ve used it over plain, basic Min-Wax stain (not gel stain and not any combination of stain and finish) and had no problems.

I was told by an expert once that you should let stain dry for at least 24 hours before you put anything on top of it.
