Burly, highly figured wood, probably not. You cant really ever tell what inside though. Of all the mesquite I’ve milled, less than 3% has been burly. The burl clumps are visable on the outside and they run 4-5” deep. The highly figures parts are in bends in the log or if a tree trunk curves, you’ll see them in the curve or stressed area.
I have a 18” x 8’ trunk full of burls. Lucky me….
