Isn’t it great there are so many ways to get the job done. I say do it the way that works for you. I love the sing you hear while using a well tuned plane but ripping a board by hand using a hand saw just doesn’t make sense to me when I have a perfectly good table saw. But if you ask good old Roy Underhill he would say riping by hand is the only way to fly. This is wood so cutting it,shaping it,joining it is all up to the creator of the project to be made. I think the main rule of woodworking is to enjoy what your doing whether you use a chain saw or a bow saw.
