How did I “fix” the quote? I took exception to your “guarantee” that politics and/or religion would cause bad things and be devisive. I still take exception to that belief. It can happen, and sometimes does, but it isn’t guaranteed.

If you had tempered your statement with qualifiers like “can”, “might”, and “could” I would have agreed completely.

Your statement about silence not indicating agreement is absolutely correct. That’s why I joined the fray in this thread. IMO, the addition of the non-shop section has breathed some real life into what was a somewhat boring website. I’m seeing some of the participants in a different light and it makes all of the discussions more interesting.
