That’s a comparison of a hybrid saw vs an industrial style cabinet saw. Very much like comparing an S10 to a Silverado 3500 diesel. There’s a huge difference in the robustness of the underpinnings. Not to mention nearly double the HP with the G1023RL. The G1023RL weighs about 50% more too….less vibration, more stable, etc. The 1023’s handwheels are larger, will work more smoothly. The motor should labor a lot less, be less sensitive to blade changes, wood thickness, setup, etc….note that it’ll require 220v. The fence on the 1023 is heavier duty too. It’s worth noting that the redesigned G1023RL has been around a while, whereas the G0771 popped up within the last 2 years (likely less), so has less of a track record. With that said, the 1023 is a luxury for a hobbyist, not an essential…both are good value for the price point, but IMO the 1023 is hell of saw for the money….should be the last saw you’ll ever need. Both will cut wood, but it can really come down things like loving the saw every time you use it, or just having a functional tool…really depends on you, what the price difference means, etc.

A look at the exploded diagram of the mechanisms will show a lot of design and duty differences. Note things like the vertical elevation screw and dovetail ways of the 1023, vs a swing arm, the larger parts, etc.

This is a look at the trunnions of the Jet Proshop, and the G0478….not the G0771, but a decent representation with a similar design:

Here’s a look at the G1023RL trunnions:
