Powermatic and Laguna are great – if you can afford them. I bought a Grizzly G0457 14” bandsaw for less than $1000 (including shipping) and have been pretty pleased with it. Four years old now and has given me no problems. The only drawback is the odd blade size (104”) that I haven’t found anywhere else other than Grizzly, but their customer service is pretty good. I beleive I chose this saw after it received Best Value in a FW review.
