It’s FAR from a loss! Follow these few simple steps, and you will have your lift for just a small cash outlay when compared to a full custom plate from a lift manufacturer!

Go to this link: http://www.cut2sizemetals.com/aluminum/plate/apl/?_kk=aluminum%20plate&_kt=9af1b9ab-6901-4dcc-846b-1ecf7c05b781&gclid=CKuk76CgmqsCFZF35QodhgX8hQ

They will sell you the aluminum plate in the exact thickness, and cut to the exact size you need. You will just need to round the corners yourself.

Now, take the plate to a machine shop and have them mill the hole in the center for the removable inserts, and also drill the mounting holes for the lift if you wish.

OR, the other option, is to go with a Triton router, which all have lift mechanisms built into the router. In this case you will only need them to mill the center hole and recess for the bit plates and you can mount the router.

WoodHaven also offers custom machining options, and can likely sell you their lift with a custom size plate, and I can’t see it bumping the price up too much.

And as one last option, WoodCraft sells acrylic plates you can cut yourself and simply mount your router to or go with the Triton and use it’s built in lift.

You won’t find an option that isn’t going to cost money, but when you look at the cost of replacing the table you found, which is an awesome deal by the way, it’s going to save you money. A new router table from a manufacturer is going to be at least $120, and a good model will be $200 and up. There are a few out there that can be had pretty reasonable, but it’s still not going to give you a lift, which is going to add more to the cost.

So look at it like this: You bought the table for $60, now if you buy another table top that’s going to be apprx. $200 for a comparable model, now add a lift at $250 and you’re at $510 anyway.

Now, take your $60 table, add apprx. $300 for a lift from WoodHaven with a custom plate (WoodHaven’s plates are 11-3/4” X 9-1/4” to start, so it’s not going to be hard for them to make it 12” x 7-1/2”) and you will have a table and lift for $360.

Keep the table and make it work! Cast iron tables are not cheap and are nice to have, work with it.
