Degoose, there is certain fixation among some Americans on people in flight suits. Others would rather prefer a former head of Harvard Law Review over a 2.3GPA student.
Two problems with the photos (am I surprised!)
1) Obama is 19 in the photo, not 22.
2) Why is C-130 transport pilot posing in front of a fighter plane.
Personally I think that posts #1 through #6, got the meaning of the photos just right.

Hey Jim,
#1 You answered your own question: "If you were blocked in the past by Joe, how are you able to post ?" But then again, you seem to have a hard time remembering the past like the issue with "W" and HIS fighter pilot status running for President (only to have it disclosed that "W" went AWOL to avoid Vietnam).

#2 You seem to be rather big on drug use. Keep it to yourself, as in I don't need your drugs no matter HOW OLD they are… ;-)

It IS a well-recognized phenomenon that the US people will elect a military hero to the Presidency, usually a General Officer from a large conflict. Ike, for example, though there are more. Rick Perry ("RP") is a lesser example than "W", IMO, and "W" wasn't all that great. I'll bet Obama's IQ (in many ways, not just book smarts) is about 50 points higher than "W's" or "RP's". Skip the skiggy in Obama's mouth, JFK smoked, too, he just didn't let people catch him at it. I also don't think JFK was all that great, either. He was wealthy because old Joe transported, uh, bootleg likker during Prohibition. "Old Fitzgerald", anybody?

"Flying airplanes has nothing to do with being a good president."

I agree…

But… knowing how to fly high in the yonder sky . . .

. . . in the beautiful blue skies and fluffy wonderful clouds . . .

. . . and still land with your feet still on the ground . . .

. . . knowing where you still want to go . . . .

. . . . and how to get there . . .

Means a lot…

At 22, I was married, a machinist with Tecumseh Products and getting ready to build my first house (for me).

I wish I had a picture of a huge crank case R&B for Bertha. lol

... and Rick Perry is a POS. Of course, notice that this new "jobs" initiative will decrease SS fund income for how much longer ?
