BTW, the Bies is almost worth that alone…and there is nothing that can’t be fixed on a 25 year old cab saw.

I’d buy it, get it home, remove the motor (you’re biggest concern), and take it to a shop to have it checked out and cleaned. Even if you need to use some elbow grease to get rid of some rust, it’s likely still a worthwhile pursuit.

Even so, I don’t know why you couldn’t call him to find out more about it’s condition? Pictures are always good as well.
