I attach my Dewalt ROS to my Ridgid vac or my dust collector but I hang a cord from the ceiling to support the hose. Much better than wrestling the unsuspended hose. Yep, the ridgid vac is noisy, the dust collector is quiet because it’s on the other side of the wall. Both of these methods work MUCH better than the filter attached to the ROS. I dont think you will gain much from a pleated filter
