I’ve gotten a few deals, that, if I didn’t have to pay shipping, would have been great deals, but not so great after figuring in shipping cost. Also, almost everything I have bought off of ebay usually requires a bit of work to get them usable. At the very least, they take some serious work to clean them up. Still, I usually can’t afford the good new tools so, restoring old ones is the best way I can get tools of good quality. We have a flea market that is held each month in my area. That is where I have been able to find the best deals. I bought a 28” Disston Mitre Box Saw in quite good condition for only $10 once. Recently, I found a rather unusual and collectible brace for only $5. The best was a 4” Starrett Combination square for only $10 recently.
