Real antiques might offer the chance to get them dismanteled without destroying the pieces and then reassemble them properly. Depends on the glue used and requires further reading as Loren has just said.

In rare cases I would consider through-dowels as a last resort. An expanding PU glue could work as well as epoxy (possibly with a vac from the underside to get it into severe cracks). Some people get the glue inside a weak joint with a syringe.

I’d use all possible means however to get rid of the old glue first.
