You gotta really read up on this stuff because each situation is
different. Screws and nails really tear the joints up. Sometimes
you have to retire a chair and fix it just to look at. Sometimes the
joints are so far gone it’s either replace major parts of the piece
with new or reclaimed parts from similar furniture, or just let the
piece be decorative and fragile.
