How could they know that it is the oldest white oak in the US?


I’m not sure how they would know unless they had bored a core sample from it. Regardless, the wood should be saved/used for something special. You could just tell them it’s worthless and you would be glad to cut it down for free :) It’s a long trip, but I could bring a trailer.
