I find it a little curious that Paul Sellers would be considered controversial. My skills were honed in the shed long before the online explosion. I don’t watch these many of these sort of videos. Mr. Sellers won me over with his approach to sharpening. It’s a basic skill. When your edge is blunt, sharpen and do it often. If you want a micro bevel tilt the cutter forward. What’s the big deal? He doesn’t go for the multi thousand grit stones neither do I. I’ve been very happy to finish with a Hard Black Arkansas and I’ve never had to dress my stones because I don’t overuse them. My grinder gets all the wear.
