I like Paul Seller’s videos. I’ve not see where he comments on real woodworking. Maybe I’ve heard him use the word traditional, or simply, “when I was a boy.” In general, I’ve never noted an attitude in his videos. He always seems very matter of fact. “You could use a power …. for this, but if all you have is a Stanley #4, that will get the job done.”

I really like how he shows a lot of tasks, that can be done without power tools. But, he doesn’t seem to be snobbish. In fact, he seems to like to point where a certain low-cost hand tool works as good as the 10X more expensive ones. As long as you give it the right preparation.

I respect a guy that builds a full-blown workbench, laminating 2×4’s, large M&T joints, and does it all with a small hand saw, a hand plane, a few chisels, and some good old fashion elbow grease.
