I understand your aggravation, and as far as their advertising goes, you can’t do a thing to change the status quo. What you could do is set your own geographical limit—a sort of red circle around your place, and go just to sales within that radius. You will eventually find tools, you will be less aggravated about spent fuel, and you’ll still enjoy the thrill of the hunt.

And maybe find a new blender.

And see a lot of Presto Hot Doggers, various devices for removing wine corks, sets of three sawhorse brackets for 2×4s, gaudy brass candle holding absurdities and more Avon bottles than Heinz has varieties.
