Multiple light coats but be sure to not go over 3-5 mills depending on brand. The finish is brittle and will tend to craze or crack later down the line. Get a wet mil thickness gauge if you are not sure how much is too much. Also if heat and humidity is an issue for you right now you may need to dial in the thinning ratio or also use a retarder or your finish may blush. Great this about lacquer is the dry time i love it. Funny thing is these days i only spray conversion varnish which requires a catlyst.
