Yea after you come off the grinder you want to go to the 1000 only a couple of strokes though then to the 4000 but change your degree like if your at 25 deg. go to something like 30 or 31 for chisels not that high for plane blades though then finish off at the same deg. on the 8000.

This is a very slippery slope cuz everyone will have something different and it’s what works for them so it might not work for you. IMO do a lot of reading on the subject and come up with something that works for you and is consistent every time you use it also if you can get something together that goes quick more power to ya. All I can say is you will have to use the stones after you come off the grinder.
