Austin Hardwoods, Santa Fe and Misissippi area. Family owned company that will pull down piles of stock and let you pick through, as long as you put the stack back together when you're done. The guys working there know their stuff, and they're very friendly. The have quick pickup retail area if you're not selecting a bunch of lumber for a project, and a bunch of slabs our for choosing. They also carry tons of ply, good quality too.
Paxton is 2 minutes from my house, I drive 20 minutes for Austin… They're first class.
I bought a boat load of rift white oak, they pulled down 3 stacks and I spent an hour pulling out exactly what I wanted, and the price was market.
Thank you all. Alamosa is about a 2.5 hour drive for me which kindof stinks. I thought being on the edge of the Rockies here there would be more sawyers
