Hello Dale, I owned one of the Rikon 18” bandsaws, from my personal view point I’d look for another bandsaw. The casting on the trunnions was like sand, and crumbled when I attempted to tilt the table to the 45 degree mark. Rikon replaced the trunnions and swore to me the second set were of higher quality, they weren’t. The motor burned out after the first month and they sent me a new one free of charge. My experience soured me on any of the Rikon products. Never ceases to amaze me why a company would go to such great lengths to make a very inferior product.
