Either yellow or white glue would work just fine. You could even use contact cement.

If it is a large surface and it is going to take a long time to spread the glue (starts setting up before you’re ready) you could use plastic resin glue (DAP Weldwood). This has about a 50 minute open time. But you will have to keep it warm using a heating blanket or something
