The blades are reversible so you can swap sides on one or all of the blades to eliminate the ridges, but nicks are plenty common and are pretty much inevitable, so they’ll be back. You can remove the ridges several ways….by running board back thru the planer at the same height in a different location, sanding, or using a handplane or scraper.
