I finally got a chance to call Grizzly today. I spoke to their tech services and I was told that Timberwolf makes the carbide blade, and the guy said they don’t advertise it very well and he wasn’t sure why. He said the tips of the teeth are carbide. Overall he thought that the blade was not best for general use since it is hook tooth blade, which he said is best for cutting straight lines. He said the raker blades were more suited to pattern cutting, and gave me a tip since I kept confusing them on the phone: raker = r = radius/round. I’ll do a little more reading on blade selection before I buy one since I cut both straight and patterns. My current blade is a positive claw so I may just get another one. |
