Most routers don’t have a light. I think I might have one handyman-grade
router with a light out of 9 or 10 routers.

I never noticed poor visibility with my Festool router. On the other hand,
the router is not a tool that gets good results with unguided use. I pay
a lot more attention to the balance, resistance to cut and sound of a router
than I do to the spinning cutter. I mostly set up the cut with guides and
stops and make the cut by feel.
