If you have cleaned the feed rolls and waxed the platen you need to take a look at the drives.
It may be that one of the gears is cracked/broken. It is fairly easy to remove the cover on the drive end and take a look at them.
I have had mine work fine one board and quit the next because of the gear.
With the marks (I would guess that they are slipping, making the skid marks) I would tend to believe that prior cleaning with the wrong cleaner and age may have caused them to harden.
Try running it with the head raised as high as you can get it and watch the feed rolls, keeping an eye out for uneven rotation and with the planer off feel the rolls, they should be firm but not rock hard and “sticky” but not soft and sticky!
P.S.
I use plain water and a little soap, alcohol can harden the rubber and actually make it harder for them to feed the material.
