Hey Thewoodwhisperer: I don’t know what a “podcast” is, sounds like what I do with my kids when we pick seed pods that fall out a tree in our area and toss them into the creek and watch them float by. Kids love it. This concept of wood flattening is not an original idea to me for sure. My concept came together from ideas from several sources. I saw David Marks use what he calls “router rails” in his DIY Woodworks Show, and so I basically just used that concept, only mounted the rails to a table that was as flat as I could keep it. The Torsion Box construction idea also was adapted from a David Marks show in which he builds an assembly table in the Torsion Box style. I am pretty “old-school” when it comes to technology, and my wife says that I am “electronically challenged” so don’t take it personally that I don’t know what a “podcast” is. Shoot, I just learned about what “blogging” was a couple of months ago when Lumberjocks started up one. back to the stone age, -- Mark DeCou - American Contemporary Craft Artisan - www.decoustudio.com |
