The original is a Hoover #87016 which specs a 16mm ID. They are still readily available. I wish the Ebay selection would show more than the box because the inner race and shield on these is slightly thicker than the outer race. I don’t think it will matter here…

Yup, those old Hoover bearings were considered ‘sealed’, but used a felt seal under the metal shield instead of the more modern rubber seals. They have an extended inner race, which does matter – you need to make sure you orient them the proper direction when installing. The extended race should face inwards. I would also recommend not sourcing them from e-bay, but instead from a reputable bearing supplier such as Accurate.
