..has got to be Grizzly's president. So I got my annual Grizzly catalog last week. This guy, in addition to being the founder and president of an international multi-million dollar company (which puts out a superb catalog), does state-of-the-art guitar inlays on the side, is a world-class competition target shooter, AND he owns multiple patents on many of his own products. I've got to meet this guy someday.

I notice in the 2011 catalogue that the saws (at least the G0690/91) now have CSA approval (Canadia Standards association) Which is new since last year. Good thing for us Canucks! I don't know who is carrying there stuff yet but I will check around for the other Canadians on here (hellllooooo out theeeerrreeee…..!!!!!) I'll post it in another forum to get the word out.

Grizzly has found an excellent formula for success and it consists of 3 basic components - -

- Sell direct to the customer and avoid the cost of a retailer
- Provide excellent customer service
- Keep the design of the tools simple such that the owner can replace any part if ever needed

Another great thing about him is that he reads and posts on some ww sites. I have PMed him on several occasions and always got a pretty quick response. Does anyone even know who the head man is at Delta, Powermatic, etc??? The only other head of a big company I know who routinely interacts on ww bullitin boards is Rob Lee, president of Lee Valley, who also seems to be a great guy. Grizzly and Lee Valley get a lot of my business these days. Anyone know of other company presidents that actively participate on ww sites? Surely there must be more than the two I know.

I only own a grizzly TS - G0691, and I don't have any complaints, aside from maybe the miter gauge - It's goog and solid an has the width adjustments on the bar, but I slightly stripped one of the adjustments screw quite easily. THat could have been because I was using the provided allen wrenches instead of my own. No big deal though - hoping to get an osborn EB-3 soon anyways!

I'm interested in some of their other tools such as their small 1hp dust collector, drill press and maybe smallish jointer too. Anybody have any feedback on those?
