I own the Grizzly G0604. It is a slightly bigger version of the one you are considering. The main differences that I see are 4 blades instead of 3, 1.5 hp instead of 1 hp and a slightly longer table.

I like my planer a lot. It’s solid and dependable and adjusting the fence is pretty easy and accurate. You may need to go a little slower with the G0452 but you’re probably not in a hurry any way.

Advice – I cannot use my planner without a dust collector connected. The chute that the chips go down will plug up without the dust collector connected. Of course, you can clean it out by hand every few passes, but that would be a pain. I don’t know that the G0452 would have the same problem but I would not be surprised if it did.
