I’ve made a couple of bow-saws after reading an article by Yeung Chan.

One saw I made to take a butcher saw blade (widely available). I refiled
the teeth to a rip profile and lapped the blade sides to remove most of
the set. In practice I have to wax the saw to prevent binding because
the set is so minimal – but the payoff is awesome because the saw is
essentially self-jigging for cutting dovetails and tendons.

A 5 point per inch blade would be handy for coarse work like rough ripping.

You can get bandsaw blade stock in that tooth range and make your own
blades.
