I’ve got a friend who the limbs fall off of a bunch of his walnut trees. Through a variety of miscommunications they ended up getting burned, but in trying to track down what to do with them I learned the same thing.

I do, though, want to try getting some nice looking limbs and take the time to skin them and work them with hand tools to try to build furniture that takes into account the natural curves and twists of the wood, but I’d like to do it while making something more elegant than rustic. So, yeah, I haven’t tackled that challenge yet.
