Rustfever… I looked for you today and the other LJs. Guess we didn’t have a table this year. I could only make it for a couple hours which is okay because that’s more than enough time to see everything. The highlight of the show for me was the new Bosch Miter Saw. I asked the lady if they had any in stock. She said they had sold out and that I would have to buy it at Sacramento Machinery. Sold out? At $775/per (show price)? What recession? I get that the cost of shipping is high, but I would think the WW Shows would have a trailer or two to help the vendors.

Funny thing about inventory. Kreg Jig has a new part for their pocket hole jig which guides smaller drill bits so you can make holes for smaller screws (like 1/2”). Thing is they only had one and the guys had to search for it. Meanwhile they were really pushing their new deck system. When you get to Detroit in winter, let me know how that works for ya?

Anyway, I liked the way they set up the booths. Cook Woods was indoors this time. Probably to take up space. I didn’t see many deals. The demonstrations looked to be well attended. The Chidwick School from Montana had a nice presentation and many nice rockers. I guess they only show at the Portland and Sacramento shows. Lucky for us, I’ve been looking for a school of this type for my 2011 vacation (first one in many years). Anyone have any suggestions please let me know.
