Rick I have an old cutting board, the commercial variety that was doing the same thing after “someone”
left it in the sink overnight. I tried the slice the glue into the cracks with a pallett knife and clamp trick to no avail.
It’d just crack again. The final solution was to run it through the tablesaw with a thin kerf blade in, then reglue.
It’s still holding even though when I cut it apart I could see how far into the wood the oil and or fat had soaked. Oh, the glue I used was Tightbond two..three hadn’t arrived yet. Hope that’s a help.
