I have no complaints about my machine, I do a lot of re-sawing and cutting apart small logs and branches.
Jet JWBS-16B, 16’’ Bandsaw. My partner gave me one for my birthday, winter solstice, and our 15th anniversary gift. He asked what I wanted most to improve the studio, so I researched and found this one on sale at the time for $200 off. I special order my blades from R&D Bandsaw, they have decent quality blades at great prices, even with shipping. I have 8 different blades and change them often to suit tasks… Okay I LOVE my band saw… or at least having one of this caliber.

I would say the drawbacks are the thumbscrews for adjusting the brushings are bad and the welding in the arm catches on the blade when trying to change them. BUT I also say that I might not be the best source for determining quality. I started woodworking with old used tools and got used to fixing them, so I make do a lot.. over look and work around faults. But the beast has not let me down yet with fine detailed woodworking to horrid practices of sheer will vs machine to get the job done…. Oh the base sucks unless you make (or purchase) feet for it. Hope this helps some.
