What I did was I set the outfeed table .015 above the cutter head as per the owners manual, I then set the knives even with outfeed table after that I dropped the outfeed table a few thou .003 and then ran a test cut. and It was terrible tear out, ripples If felt as if the knives were beating off the wood instead of cutting it. When the machine came in it was set up differently than the manual. The out feed table was set at .035 above the cutthead and the knives were set within .001 even with the outfeed table the cut was ok and smoothe but the knives were coming apart at the lamination also whoever had put those knives on had cross threades the gib screws so I wanted to change them. This is when I looked in the manual for the directions on setting the knives and noticed that the outfeed table was suppose to be at .015 above the cutter head body. I’m not sure what to do I reset everything last night to the .030 and It cut better but It still isn;t right. I’m about ready to sell all this equipment buy a harley and go on a sabatical.

-- Ive cut this board three times and its still too short?
