You can make the rails for the cabinet doors to use without any hardware and cut rabbets in the back and the top and bottom and wax them good so they will slide easy. You can also make them to fit the full thickness of the doors to set in the rails and install rollers on the bottom to allow them to slide easily. Otherwise you could just buy the hardware systems and do it that way as well. The ones I built for a guy I put the rollers on the bottom and it worked good. I made the rails from Oak which worked well. Oh ya the rollers were only a couple of bucks a piece, so you get change back from that $20.
