I actually have these beams for sale, and to answer your question Paul, I know that certain ebony species are endangered and perhaps the Gabon I have may be as well. I do know that it has to be around 10 years old as I was speaking with my neighbor yesterday who gave them to me mentioning your concerns. She said she remembered her deceased husband dealing with someone who used a specific mill that harvested their ebony legally from Africa.

I’m selling it all as a complete lot at an extremely competitve price based upon what it goes for in the current market. Based upon the size and weight, my price for the lot is much less than what other people are selling their stock for. There is another seller on eBay who is an exotic woods dealer out of Georgia and to give you an idea of what they are selling a 90lb similar style beam for, I am copying and pasting their link as well….
