I did a little research and found a youtube video that demonstrated how to change the bearings. But it also showed how to remove the base, guides, and springs (you remove 2 screws on the bottom of each side and take off the depth screw). Now I have something that can be hose-clamped to the mechanism to raise it up and down. This will allow it to be raised high enough to change bits above the table, and the height adjustment will all be underneath, so it want intefere with fences and jigs. I need to remove my current top and either replace it or fill in the hole I cut for a plate. It needs a rib or two added to flatten it back up some. I am getting pumped up about this! I think I will use my router more if it is always set up and it will not take up any more shop space. -- Mike P., Arkansas, http://mpounders1.blogspot.com |
