Last tuesday the 22nd my mother passed away at the age of 83. She was a great person and I could have not asked for anyone better. So, we decided to take a few days and relax, after all the past few weeks have been very tiring, both physically and mentally. I was hoping I would never have to make the decisions I did regarding her wishes at the end of her life. It was very difficult watching her at that time and trying to stick to her wishes was just as difficult. On wednesday we headed for the beach and pulled in yesterday. The weather is absolutely perfect, 70 degrees, slight breeze and full sun after the morning overcast. We plan on stating for a couple more days and then head home. When i get home I will finish an entertainment center for the mother in law and get some pics posted so ya'll have have a gander. Then it will be time to get a new project under way for the pastor of our church, a book stand for a special bible. It will be made of walnut and walnut burl veneer with string maple inlay. It will be my first attempt at inlay and should be a lot of fun.
My mom turns 83 next month. It is hard to watch your parents age and slow down.
I am going to make sure I bring the kids up to visit her ASAP this summer as I promised.
Best wishes to you and your family, thanks for the reminder
You have my sympathy, Ken. We lost my mother-in-law this week. Even though she was 92, the end was quite sudden. I know it was better that way, but it's hard for my wife to see that right now.
Thanks to everyone. We have had a few really good days here at the beach, wanna live here. I wish we had the resources to relocate and if we could it would happen tomorrow. The problem is the current economy wont allow that to happen. Hopefully one day all that will change.
Condolences my friend I lost both of my parents 10 years ago I know the feeling
