PJpones thanks for the reply. I heard the Delta 18-36 and the Grizzly 18” were clones, and the Grizzly gets terrible reviews because of the conveyor belt tracking issues. I’ll stray from both.

MrBill, I have looked all over CL, no sanders at all within a reasonable drive. I look about 2x a day hoping something comes up.

Earl, I’ve seen the flat sanders and they just look awkward and like they would be hard to use for something like this. Do you use a belt sander to get the majority of the glue off then use the FS, or just throw it straight on there. I’m kinda interested in them, but they just seem like they would be hard to use to get even, consistent results. I kinda just want to throw on a conveyor belt and get a relatively flat surface to finish sand with a ROS. But I want to be able to set boards on a granite countertop and not have any wiggle or wobble from one corner to the next.
