I put mine together about a month ago ( bought it back during the winter) no leftover parts . The hurculift does take some time to setup and adjust but once you get it right it works great . I assembled the lift off the saw and set the cabinet on top . This helped getting the lift setup right . That U bolt is adjustable and the open part should face the back of the saw .

The instructions can be somewhat confusing , I used them a long with the other smaller parts booklet to figure everything out . it took me a good 6 – 8 hours to put that beast together by myself . That didn’t include the Incra fence , that took another 3 hours to get setup and fine tune it .

I didn’t use the Ridgid fence , a few months back I found a great deal on a used Incra TS fence which I love . Put a Forrest blade and dampener on it, it runs smooth and cuts nice . My next purchase for it is going to be the Osborne EB3 miter gauge .
