Well I was asking a question to people that may know…. not slamming the idea, just want to understand if that is acceptable approach. At a price of $65 for a set of blades don’t want to burn up $32.50 to save $6 worth of boards

Doesn t the glue in the plywood destroy the planner knives. I am sure I read that you are never to plane plywood, or mdf unless you plan on replacing blades.

Well, if you read it on the internet, it must be true, huh? :-)

My blades are still in one piece and working just fine. Who knows, they may dull sooner than the last set. If they do, I ll turn em around and go again. It s not like I took off a lot of material, most of which was the 2×4 sticking up.

I will say this, if I had some soft wood like white pine, I would have used it. But I didn t have anything long enough to rip up.
