I agree with buying new, especially since you’ve gotten the green light. The new Ridgid saws are much improved over earlier models. I’ve got an old Sears Craftsman TS that I bought at an auction for $80 and had to put a new fence on, well worth it for that price. i’ve since ahd to replace the motor, but for $100 I’m still ahead. I’ve also got a 5hp 3 phase Powermatic that I can’t use because I don’t have 3 phase capability and don’t see getting it with the new shop I’m building. It has a rack and pinion fence, that needs to be replaced, and with all the cast iron leaves put on the table top is 8” wide and 30” deep. At some point I’m going to replace both TSs with a new one and the Ridgid is in the top 3 for sure.
