For the planer, I’d pass on the Ryobi and go for the Ridgid from HD. It’s a little more but a great tool. I just planed about 100 BF of alder this weekend and it worked great. Very smooth, flat boards. Plus with the Lifetime Service Agreement, it gives you some piece of mind.
